Solvent-based silicone modified epoxy resin ES-020

1. Features

ES-020 is a silicone modified epoxy resin specially designed for coating. Silicone content is 20%.It offers excellent heat resistance, adhesion and corrosion resistance, which combine heat resistance and weather resistance of silicone with chemical resistance, corrosion resistance and adhesion of epoxy resin.

2. General Physical Characteristics

Appearance: yellowish transparent liquid

Non-volatile-matter content (180℃/30min): 60±2%

Viscosity, 25℃：300-1000cps

3. How to use

①Air dry coating prepared with a polyamide curing agent.

②Curing at 150℃×30min by imidazole catalyst.

③200℃×30min

4. Application

ES-020 is a silicone modified epoxy resin containing 20 % silicone. It offers excellent adhesion andcorrosion resistance. General used polyamide curing agent to prepare air dry coating with heat resistance, corrosion resistance and chemical resistance. It is widely used in outdoor rigid protective coating and corrosion resistant, chemical resistant industrial coating.

5. Use and Storage 

According to Fire Control Law, Safety and Health Law and other regulations, pay attention to the followings during using and storage.

a)    Please operate under the conditions of no smoking and well-ventilate environment during using and curing.

b)    The product uses low boiling point solvents, Please operate in well-ventilate environmentto avoid inhalation of solvent vapors.
       Generally require a commitment on health and safety management according to law of labor safety and health when using  
       such solvents(solvent-products).
c)    The product is considered hazard class 3. Please storage and operate the product in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.

6. Storage stability: at least 6 months under normal condition in a sealed container.
